We only use reputable branded coatings; these are the most durable, give protection from scratches, eliminate most reflections and the latest coatings include a hydrophobic layer which helps keep the lenses clean. Lenses are now available with remarkably sophisticated coatings that leave your lenses cleaner, tougher and clearer than ever before. In fact these new coatings make your lenses almost totally transparent so that they appear non-existent, allowing people to see your eyes rather than your lenses.

In the past coatings have been difficult to keep clean. The newest coatings, such as Zeiss LotuTec, include a "Clean Coat" layer which is water-repellent, dirt-repellent and oil-repellent which means that fingerprints, oil, grease and water deposits simply slide away making cleaning the lenses easier than ever.
